Saltburn

An old railway poster. There's me and Mrs Pudding sitting on the clifftop. And that's where we are bound an hour from now via York and Thirsk - but not by train. We shall be travelling in "Clint" - our luxury Hyundai vehicle. Perhaps I will be able to bring you a blogpost or two from Saltburn-by-the-Sea before coming home on Saturday.

  1. You look both very elegant, and I think it is wise of you using a walking cane just in case your knee causes you trouble again.
    Enjoy your trip!

    1. The walking cane is also useful for whacking dogs and small children who get in my way.

  3. I have been binge watching Downton Abbey with my daughter. York and Thirsk get regular mentions in the show so I'm imagining you and Mrs Pudding all glammed up in 1920's fashions and heading to the fair (or is it fayre?)

    1. Bus fare?...No sign of Downton dwellers here in Saltburn-by-the Sea but I saw a couple of surfers...even though the sea was hardly rippling.

    1. Thank you Mr B. It is a shame you weren't in "The Victoria" this evening. I would have liked to have a pint or two eith you before challenging you to an arm-wrestling contest.

    1. We are here now. This afternoon we walked on the beach in shirt sleeves then walked along the old Victorian pier. Not a goosebump in sight.

    1. Clint loves to be free. Free upon the open road. Free to follow his bonnet to freedom. All Clints are the same.

    2. You are wrong there, Mr. Pudding.

My Clint is very happy where he is. He has a glint in his eyes and always has a smile for me every time I open my fridge door.

And you must also remember, my dear, golden Clint is older than your silver Clint!
